Unmatched Ultra High Resolution performance at 700kHz

The Sonic 2026-V MBES with Ultra High Resolution capability, sets a new standard in survey excellence

Recent testing of the Sonic™ 2026-V multibeam system with Ultra High Resolution (UHR) 700kHz was conducted at Lake Travis in Austin, Texas.  The lake is a flooded reservoir, with a number of original pecan trees still standing proudly at depths of 40m.

The Sonic 2026-V multibeam survey systems are now available with UHR 700kHz option in addition to the 100kHz extended sounding depth option and standard 170-450kHz selectable frequencies.  This coupled with the Ultra High Density (UHD) feature of up to 1024 independent soundings per ping, provide improved data density across the swath, and unprecedented visual detail, as can be seen in these striking examples of the data collected:

Existing Sonic 2026 multibeam systems can now be enabled with the Ultra High Resolution (UHR) 700kHz option, providing narrow beamwidths of 0.3 x 0.3 degrees and unprecedented resolution.   For further info, get in touch with our support team on R2Support@r2sonic.com
