DenAr, based in Istanbul, Türkiye, has been delivering high-quality bathymetric, oceanographic, geological, and geophysical survey services since 2007. As a long-standing distributor of R2Sonic and R3Vox technologies, DenAr became one of the first companies to adopt and purchase the new Voxometer survey system in 2025.

DenAr recently completed nearshore survey work in Turkey using their new Voxometer XL system. Positive results were achieved in water depths ranging from 10m to 90m.

“Using the system in Classic Quad Mode, significantly reduced the survey duration and allowed the team to acquire more data more efficiently, while still achieving the required data density” stated Yunus Cezairli, DenAr Operations Manager.

Faster Surveys. Greater Efficiency.

Traditionally, the project requirements would have demanded between four and five survey passes to achieve the desired data density. With Voxometer XL, DenAr was able to achieve equivalent results with a maximum of only two passes per survey line.
This resulted in a substantial reduction in operational time, with some survey areas demonstrating time savings of approximately 60%, compared to conventional multibeam echosounder workflows.

This particular data image to the left, is from a single pass in enhanced quad mode at 5 knots, showing a 10inch and 16inch pipeline, at 80m water depth.  It’s impressive to note the quality of data that can be achieved by the Voxometer in just a single pass, due to the fact that you have 4 simultaneous and high resolution frequencies up to 1MHz:

Advanced Technology Driving Results

“We believe this improvement was mainly achieved due to the ability to simultaneously acquire data at different frequencies with pitch stabilization in different directions (forward and aft)” concludes Survey Project Manager, Mikhail Morozov.

The Black Sea survey project highlights the clear advantages of Voxometer MA3 Multi Aspect™ technology for all survey operations, where efficiency, coverage, and data quality are critical.
By dramatically reducing the number of required survey passes, while maintaining data quality standards, Voxometer XL enabled DenAr to complete the project faster, more efficiently, and with reduced operational costs.
As development of the Voxometer platform continues, ongoing enhancements are expected to deliver even greater improvements in data quality, ease of operation, and overall survey productivity.
